must be at least 18 years of age to operate a Jet Ski in Florida
Anyone operating a Jet Ski is required to show a valid ID
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, must-have, in their possession, a Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card (or a valid FWC and NASBLA approved boating education certificate) & Photo I.D. to operate a jetski in the State of Florida or successfully pass the temporary certificate examination.
If you do not have a Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card, there is an exam that you can take to obtain a temporary certificate. Click down below to take the test online ahead of arriving. (Online exam can be completed on a computer, tablet, or mobile device.)
Each person operating or riding on a Jet Ski must wear a life vest provided
All Jet Ski operators and passengers are required to sign a Liability Waiver
Designated riding areas are strictly enforced
Jet Skis may not be operated ½ hour after sunset
